"Thanks mate. Please G-d we’ll get through this and it might open our gov’s eyes. Now I truely understand how you guys felt on 9/11. G-d bless the UK and G-d bless the US. You are true friends in my eyes. Maybe some British people will now understand how Israel feels too and why they need a wall. I’ve been saying for years that this would happen." – an LGFer.
Hope this isn’t representative. This is *nothing* we haven’t experienced before and *no reason* to change our attitudes or behaviours. If you think like this man, you’re a) an idiot b) part of the problem.

Yes, Londoners’ have been through this before, and they responded by doing a deal with the IRA whereby the IRA would have their murderers released from jail and would be allowed to go on running their organised crime empire as long as they only hurt Northern Irish people and left the English alone. Now we have a killer in charge of our education system, but, hey, no worries: he’s not hurting Londoners, and that’s what counts. Regardless of today’s bombs, Londoner’s attitude to this sort of event needed to be changed years ago.
You mean, changed to "let’s lock up all the buggers with rags on their ‘eads and a skin pigmentation problem"?
Britain has suffered and survived much worse than this. There is no need for over-reaction, hysteria, hearts-on-sleeves or intolerance.
I have also been saying for years that this would happen, and now that it is, I find myself rather glad that I am not going to fucking pieces like that fool.
Actually, as I understand it, there are some differences between the IRA and Al Whatsit. The IRA always claimed that they could inflict massive civilian casualties, but they rarely did. The aim was to cause economic damage, so the IRA always gave warnings because they did not want to cause civilian casualties. These people do want to cause maximum civilian casualties. This lot are more barbaric than the IRA, but then again if you do not value life…
