I’ve warmed slightly to evil New Labourite Louise Casey. Although the policies she officially espouses are horrendous and evil, she seems reasonably sane and sensible in her own personal views.
While ideally I’d rather we weren’t governed by authoritarian fanatics and craven appeasers, I’d prefer a cynical careerist trying to get ahead by pretending to be a Blunkettist over someone who actually believed that authoritarian bollocks, any day of the week…
Disagree. She comes over as the worst kind of professional bossyboots who has been binge-consuming her own self-importance ever since being appointed Asbo Queen and is now three sheets in the wind.

Maybe, John, but even if you’re right about her its scant consolation if the result is the same (authoritarianism) because she won’t fight.
Mind you though, having read the full report, she does not seem too bad. I think she was the homeless ‘tsar’ at some point was she not?
The ‘homeless tsar’. Is that a sequel to Anastacia, detailing the life of misery endured by the fabulously wealthy Russian ex-aristocrats dotted around Europe?
Andrew: Ha! Yes, I posted that and thought that sounded odd.
Someone ought to buy this woman a drink . . . doubles all round.
