I’ve linked to Marc at USS Neverdock before. If you’ve been paying attention you’ll be fully aware that he’s a thick, bigoted idiot who would, if there were any justice, be deported from the UK and replaced with a family of Muslims. Preferably ones who speak a really strange language, eat really spicy food, and really don’t like the way the Yanks keep slaughtering their co-religionists.
Read this post about how Evil Left-wing Antiwar types staged a horrible protest at a US soldier’s funeral. Then note the photographis indicating that the protest was actually organised by the Westboro Baptist Church. Then watch the stupid sod getting destroyed 200 times over in the comments section. Re-fucking-sult! (nb Atrios may have had some involvement in the comment-a-lanche…)
Hopefully, this will shame Marc into giving up blogging. Or, if the world were more ideal than I believe it to be, into reevaluating his beliefs.
I did my bit. Frankly, I’ve never been happier to eject a mouthful of coffee across my clean carpet.
Brilliant, that’s absolutely made my day. What an absolute imbecile. Alternatively though maybe Marc is actually the most far-right man on the planet, so that from where he stands even Fred Phelps, the world’s second far-rightist man looks like a wishy-washy liberal.
Ah good old http://www.godhatesfags.com supporters
They used to have a really quite classy poster on their site explaining how Princess Di was going to burn in Hell for helping AIDS patients (on the grounds that ayone with AIDS is obviously gay)
I’m sometimes more in favour of actively managed Darwinism than I should be……

The late Sir John Junor once had to wrestle with the dilemma of simultaneously believing that Princess Di was the saintliest human being ever to set foot upon the planet and that anyone who even so much as breathed within a 100-mile radius of a gay man was going to hell, and ended up dumping Di.
I really have to say that that was pretty damn funny. And he still hasn’t admitted his error – the first rule for an honest blogger that’s been caught in error, as all of us inevitably will be from time to time (though rarely as spectacularly).
"<I>Hopefully, this will shame Marc into giving up blogging</I>"
Speaking as one generally identified (simplistically, but understandably) as having a right-wing perspective, I certainly hope so – this isn’t the first time that the poverty of his blogging has (I hope only peripherally) undermined more thoughtful, more careful, and, I hope, infinitely more effective right-of-centre bloggers.
For what it’s worth, he’s updated his post… but it’s not exactly a grovelling apology (unless he’s being sarcastic to a degree previously unknown to humankind).
He actually <EM>could</EM> have defended the original post on the grounds that he didn’t say directly that the protest was being made by ‘the left’ or ‘Democrats’. It would have been a weak and disingenuous defence, but he could have done it.
Instead, though, he seems to have decided to go down in flames, which is certainly more entertaining.
"he’s updated his post…"
But he never actually admitted that he was wrong.
Lame, lame, lame.
Lefties, encourage him to keep blogging. He’s greatly beneficial to your cause.
lame, lame, lame.
Oh Scott don’t be so humourless.
Laughing at complete idiots (from whatever insane extreme of the political spectrum) is a wholesome fun for the entire family.
We may not be able to agree on economic or social theory, or the iraq war, but we should at least be able to all have a good chuckle at Marc’s expense.
You’re right, Larry – LOL at the fuckwit (am I allowed to use that word here?)
