Jacques Chirac will be rather fecked off today. Tony Blair will be rather pleased. Many pundits will radically exaggerate the impact of the vote. Europe will muddle on pretty much as it was before.
Say what you like about Bill Clinton, but at least he bombed Sudan instead of leaving the vile bastards who run it in charge. Their latest move is to arrest the director of Medecins Sans Frontiers for compiling a report on the number of government-backed rapes in Darfur. It’s a shame that the Iraq fuckup has permanently discredited the concept (in terms of both motives and ability to not make things worse) of Western humanitarian military intervention in the eyes of the rest of the world.
Oh, and Virgin Radio listeners are deaf, mad and stupid.
I fully agree with your observations about Sudan and Virgin radio lsitners. I’m not sure what to make of the French vote though…

Oww, that Virgin poll is unbelievable (or rather, too believable). Let it Be? Let it Be?? Granted, it’s not a bad song, but The Beatles wrote a shedload of songs better than that. As for Imagine, that song seems to have become what people think of when they think of John Lennon, instead of the really inspired stuff he wrote. Give me Polythene Pam anyday. And Oasis? Please.
Well at least your computer is only in bits in your house. Mine is in bits c/o Apple and it will be 10 working days before I see it again. (If ever.)
