I wouldn’t normally do this kind of thing

"Your other contributors forget that concepts such as the presumption of innocence, free legal aid and human rights are a luxury. They do not apply in a post 9/11 world." – Roger, London, England, in a BBC "Have Your Say" poll.

I’ve never wished death at the hands of terrorists on anyone before. Congratulations, Roger, London, England – you’ve persuaded me to make an exception to that policy.

  1. Please add Graeme Phillips, Guildford, UK to the list of deserving recipients of terrorist attentions. Although, I think a more fitting punishment would be to have the Americans arrest him and for nobody to protest as they hold him without charge for several years.

  2. Don’t you realize – this is part of the BBC’s attempt to portray the people in favour of removing our of basic freedoms as irational lunatics, while those who want to hang onto them are portrayed as normal, level-headed folk…

    Surprised you didn’t spot that!

  3. I liked the one which said something along the lines of "fine, release them. But FIRST they have to explain how they came to be captured by the Americans at all." I hope that person never gets arrested.
