Conservative art

I’m most impressed by this picture. While it appears to be of Giles from Buffy holding an unusually hairy ice cream cone up in the air by its 99 flake (always a dangerous activity), it’s actually a picture by Patriotic Artist Scott LoBaido, of Dubya bearing aloft the severed head of Osama Bin Laden.

Good to know the rightists are still taking all that ‘due process’ stuff seriously… oh, and how long until Mr LoBaido is declared Official Artist of the Theocratic Junta? (via Green Fairy).

  1. Poor old Osama eh? Innocent until proven guilty, just like Hitler. Another man who was never went found guilty in court.

  2. Hmm. Hitler topped himself; if he hadn’t, then surely it would have been better to try him at Nuremberg among with all the other vile scum rather than descend to his level with an extra-judicial execution?

  3. Even when you exclude Giles from the list, it still seems that the artist has chosen to paint the wrong President Bush. Either that, or he’s saying it’s going to be years before the Blessed Dubya will be able to make such a pose.
