(Though, one can assume that if you did at least one person wouldn’t realise you were joking and you’d become ‘that crazy guy who wants arranged marriages made compulsory in Britain’)

I just showed the last comment to my wife, and after agreeing with every word (apart from the 90% figure, which she thinks is much too low) she added "Let's face it, it's mostly just wank, isn't it?"

I think there’s a strong case for enforcing compulsory arranged marriages (or registered gay partnerships) for the more self-important bloggers – to ultra-cynical and decidedly non-technical partners with a particularly strong line in viciously cutting put-downs every time they so much as hint that their views matter more than anyone else’s just because they’re expressed on a blog instead of down the pub where 90% of blog posts really belong.

I didn’t deliberately arrange such a marriage for myself, but I can vouch for its effectiveness now that I seem to be in one!
