All property is intellectual property. Without intellect, all objects are valueless. For instance, land is valueless. Land plus knowledge of agriculture is valuable; land plus knowledge of house-building is valuable; land plus a desire for territory is valuable.
I have no idea what implications, if any, that insight has for IP legisation, though.
