  1. Tsk.

(Knew her daughter, very vaguely, at LSE. My housemate had a certain unrequited "thing" for her as a result of shared classes in Russian Political History or whatever it was. How’s that for inept name-dropping, by the way?)

  2. Sorry, lest I be accused of proto-chauvinism a la the Members Bar… What I really meant was why can’t our politicians be so up-front with their political opinions. Her t-shirt reads: "Life’s better without Nazis"

  3. Well that dear old philanderer Boris Johnson has been known to drool over Thatcher in print – although so did Derek and Clive… I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder?

  4. Yes, but sometimes the beholder is empirically wrong. Thatcher being a case in point.

  5. I’ve always thought that Shami Chakrabarti looks pretty hot, especially when she’s arguing with the Tory High Grand Bigot on Question Time. If she follows previous directors of Liberty Harriet Harman and Patricia Hewitt she’ll be an MP, though I’m not sure that there’s a party for her now. The Lib Dems, perhaps. Labour aren’t the same as they were when Harman and Hewitt joined.

  6. "Why aren’t any prominent UK politicians as hot as Yulia Tymoshenko?"

    What about Ann Widdecombe?

  7. Fuck that, I bet Claire Short could teach you a thing or two. Big woman. Big. I like ’em big.
