Hits and misses

Like Memetank Frank, I’m confused by hit rates. Yesterday I got linked by Crooked Timber, which is apparently rather popular. The link brought through a few hundred hits, but my average hit rate *fell*. Maybe my right-wing anti-academic readers boycotted the site in protest at the advent of academic lefties…

In other news, Michael Howard is a tit and any self-described libertarian who votes Tory rather than Lib-Dem is a liar and a fool; and anti-Europeans again show themselves incapable of avoiding random non-sequiturs about the evils of the EU. Well, I say ‘news’; this might be an exaggeration.

  1. Jest why? Out of the three major parties in England (and adding in the Greens, UKIP and the BNP for comedy value), the Lib Dems have by far the most libertarian/classically-liberal policy platform. Sure, some of their policies are witless, but this is true across the board.

Their courage in opposing the terrible-farce-that-will-forever-discredit-the-notion-of-humanitarian-intervention in Arabia is proving also to be rather a good tactical move: it has allowed them to win the left-of-Labour vote by default, despite not being economically to the left of Labour.

Yep, got me on board. Fellow traveller rather than committed, I might add. I wish Charlie had been a bit more vigorous about the whole thing though.

  3. You are being issued with a Writ for £30,000 for hosting a site calling Michael Howard MP a tit.

We will see in due course to close down this web site, the writ will be issued from the High Court of Londn, you will have 14 days to comply with this writ of face prison
